Hello Everyone!
I'm Mrs. Cox and I am the 3rd Grade Congruence Teacher at Dundee. I provide Academic Intervention Services (AIS) to students to help them meet the New York State Standards, and also serve as the Elementary Math, Science, and Technology Coordinator. 2010-2011 will be my 14th year teaching in the Dundee Central School District and I have had the pleasure of interacting with many fine, young, creative thinkers!
Here's a little bit about me. As a child, I spent many of my elementary years being educated between the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York (my Dad was in the Marine Corps). I finished my secondary education in the Penn Yan Central School District. Upon graduating high school my goal was to become an interpreter. I started out attending Finger Lakes Community College where I received my Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts. While in the later years of high school and the beginning stages of college, I had the opportunity to work with elementary age children teaching them French and Spanish. I loved seeing those young minds at work.... the imagination, the creativity, and the inquisitive nature. The energetic atmosphere of the elementary classroom was invigorating with day to day excitement. It was then that I knew exactly where I would be happiest, so out the window went all other plans. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Keuka College and my Master's Degree in Special Education from Nazareth College.
In 1993, I married my husband, Ted. We have two children. Our son is 10 and our daughter is 8. They provide us with tons of joy and lots of exercise along with our dogs Riley, & Roxie, and cat, Checkers.
